The cottage at Murton Grange was just perfect for us to ‘drop out’ after a very busy year. The access to Monks Cross for shopping was perfect, all one one level made it really easy and we slept well in the cosy bedrooms. Being a complex we wondered if it might be noisy with other guests but it certainly was very quiet, and nice to see others enjoying their holidays too. Certainly recommend.

We had a lovely time at Murton Grange. The site is stunningly beautiful. It snowed that weekend so it added to the very Christmassy atmosphere!

We enjoyed a couple of days, relaxing near York. Great access to shopping and all of York. Well appointed accommodation, warm and cosy, felt safe and welcoming. Easy parking and access.

Lovely properties with plenty of space for 22 of us. Perfect place for a large group, the hot tubs were a great bonus!

We booked Cottages 6 and 7 for a girls weekend away. The cottages are next door to one another and share a garden area and each have a hot tub. The properties are spacious, clean and very welcoming! Great location for easy pizza delivery, ample parking also. Location- around 15 mins from York centre and York races. We all had a great time and will definitely be returning.

We needed a place to stay that had access to York city centre but also being able to get out into the countryside – this location did exactly that. The other big advantage for us was flexibility over start and end dates (most self-catering cottages have fixed changeover days).

The cottage was clean and practical, and having two bathrooms was definitely useful. Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The wifi generally worked well and the hot-tub was a nice addition to enable us to relax.

We had a really nice week and particularly recommend a visit to Breezy Knees gardens (nearby) if you get the chance to go!

We stayed in Cottages 7 & 8 for the weekend for a stag do. Decent size, clean, comfortable and the hot tubs were a bonus. Close to town too. Perfect for a large party!

We stayed in Cottages 3 & 5 for a family gathering. Cottage 3 had accessible facilities which were a bonus for us. Great location, very clean and comfortable with all amenities in situ, would highly recommend.
